Gender-based violence is an issue that societies across the world struggle with daily. Unfortunately, nowhere and nothing seems to be safe enough anymore including public transportation. This series explores how a woman may feel just as she is about to enter a taxi. Following the abductions and murders of Ashanti Riley and Andrea Bharatt who were both last seen in taxis before their' murders, the safety of our public resources are now called into question.
Women who rely daily on these services should not have to fear for their lives while going about their daily activities. If anything else, they should arrive alive to their destinations.
